A weekly reset isn't deep cleaning. It's a short routine that brings the house back to a baseline, so the week ahead starts calmer. Set a timer for 30 minutes and work top to bottom.
Minutes 0–5: Clear surfaces
Walk through with a basket and collect everything that doesn't belong. Put it away at the end, not as you go.
Minutes 5–12: Kitchen
Empty the fridge of anything past its best, wipe the counters and the front of the appliances, and take out the trash and recycling.
Minutes 12–20: Bathroom
Swap towels, wipe the sink and mirror, and give the toilet a quick clean.
Minutes 20–26: Floors
Vacuum or sweep the main walkways. Full floors can wait for your monthly clean.
Minutes 26–30: Plan the week
Look at the calendar, sketch three or four dinners, and write the grocery list. Five minutes here saves a lot of weeknight decisions.
Make it yours
Keep the routine on the fridge and adjust the order to your home. The goal is a reset you'll actually repeat, not a perfect one.
