Most download problems take a minute to fix. Try these steps in order.
1. Find your download link
- You get two emails after checkout: your order confirmation, which has a download button for each item, and a “your download is ready” email from our download system.
- You can also download straight from your order status page: open the link in your confirmation email and use the download button there.
- Search your inbox, spam and promotions folders for “Linen & Ledger”.
- Checked out with a typo in your email? Contact us with your order number and the correct address, and we'll resend it.
2. If the download won't start
- Use a computer if you can. Phones sometimes block downloads or save them in unexpected places.
- Try a different browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox).
- Pause ad or pop-up blockers, then try again.
- On iPhone, files usually land in the Files app under Downloads.
3. If a spreadsheet won't open
- Make sure the file name ends in .xlsx. Bundles end in .zip: unzip first (double-click on Mac; right-click → Extract All on Windows).
- Open it in Excel 2010 or newer, or upload it to Google Drive and choose File → Save as Google Sheets.
- If Excel shows “Protected View”, click Enable Editing.
- Apple Numbers isn't supported. Use the free Google Sheets instead.
4. If formulas look wrong
- Type only in the sage-colored cells. Typing over a white cell replaces its formula. Download a fresh copy from your email to start over.
- Enter amounts as plain numbers (for example 45.50, not $45.50 in a text cell).
- In Google Sheets, check File → Settings → Locale is set to your country so dates and currency read correctly.
5. If the PDF won't print well
- Choose “Fit to page” or “Scale to fit” in the print dialog, especially on A4 paper.
- Print one test page first.
